Hi All,

In a battle that started a long time ago I am battling with some 485 devices with out the benefit of being able to speak (or slap!) the person responsible for them.
I now have  multiple boards from a batch that went through production, testing and failed at installation.  I only have limited experience of 485 and most of that was at the installation stage. Looking at the setup I have of PC  com1 to Amplicon 232 to 485 convertor to board is there any difference than a whole site wired with cat5 ?  From reading Serial Port Complete it would appear not.
Does any one have any ideas?
Thanks
     Glenn

Could my troubles be down to miswiring, ie some one placing a jumper where one in not required or missing the common earth??

Hi,

Sorry for that, I made a DFU mistake and didn't read the docs for the board, read 'em and it now works!
