PC Serial Port Question....

Hi All,
Odd question but I would like to know if anyone else has seen this.  When I use a program written in .NET 2008 using the Serial Port class and send some data the data is fine but get ..C sent of the port six times closes the port waits an indeterminate time and re-opens the ports sends ..C six times & closes the port. It does not happen when a program using MSComm for a longer period of time but still as with the Serial Port Class.  I have searched the web and can find no reference to it, I am suspecting my PC as it only happens with Com1 and not the PCI serial port card or USB ports.  Is this an isolated thing to my (work) PC or is it more common, I am only using the standard serial port cable (1.5 meter)

Solved it! ReMservices was part of a Honeywell bar code reader conviently a similar name to a bit of malware going around.
